The KAP140 autopilot system is generally a little bit on the wonky side when it comes to reliability, but we will always be trying – with the help of both Galvin MX and Duncan Aviation – to keep the APs in working condition as they’re a very useful tool for X/C flights and all single-pilot IFR operations.
The AP is now operative on both twins. Please do your part by thoroughly understanding the KAP140’s limitations and operation procedures described in the AFM Supplement.
