[The N-# of this plane before 7/1/2024 was N972RD]

  • A foldable step stool has been placed in the plane to help check the oil and re-insert the dipsticks during preflight; it’s much easier that way.
Using the step stool is also recommended to use with passengers who are having trouble stepping on the plane’s foot peg.

To be stowed in the right nose baggage compartment near the TKS fluid container (you can easily reach it from the left one without opening the right one)

  • Plastic chocks for shorter visits or non-windy days and tie-down ropes (look in the R nose compartment) for longer visits or windy days at remote airports (at BFI, always use the tie-down straps provided by the designated parking spots, not the ones described here)
  • Engine inlet plugs keep birds, insects, leaves, dust, debris and visible moisture (rain/snow/ice) from getting into the engine inlets of the parked plane. Please install them after every flight; it only takes half a minute to do that.
  • An aircraft cover is available to protect the cabin area. Note that there is no expectation to install it during normal business operations between flights, but ideally it does get installed at the end of the last flight of the day or during any longer downtime periods due to MX or WX, and for overnight rental trips.
It is easily installed starting from the nose with just a couple plastic clips, just be careful with all antennas please.
Please be also mindful that it doesn’t get placed back in the plane in a wet state, so that it doesn’t become a source of mold!

  • A cargo net can be installed if needed. When not in use it should be in the floor compartment just behind the back passenger seats where you will also find the first aid kit.

  • The tow bar is a strong generic one that grabs the nose wheel from both sides and can be securely stowed in the front left baggage compartment when collapsed:
  • A FADEC Service Link tool uses the CD-135 engine diagnostic port to download FADEC data and can be used to help with remote diagnosis of a problem.
